The Commission for the History and Philosophy of Computing is a research intitiative dedicated to interdisciplinary investigation of computing and programming.

Our activities are structured around two central events. Every other year, we organize HaPoC, a multi-day, single-track conference on the history and philosophy of computing. On even years, we organize HaPoP, a single-day symposium on the history and philosophy of programming.

If you are interested in joining our research activities or just want to reach out, you can write us at info [at] hapoc.org. You can also follow publications, events, job postings and other tidbits of information by subscribing to the HaPoC bytes newsletter.
