DLMPST/IUHPST Travel Stipends for Researchers from Developing Countries
http://clmpst2019.flu.cas.cz/travel-grants/
The DLMPST is the global voice for logic and philosophy of science and would like its congresses to reflect that by offering the opportunity to as many researchers from traditionally underrepresented countries as possible to present their ideas and results. As a consequence, the DLMPST offers travel stipends to partially or entirely cover the participation in CLMPST 2019 in Prague in August 2019.
In order to apply for one of the travel stipends, a researcher has to be academically based in a developing country (defined by the listing of the International Statistical Institute) and to have submitted a presentation for the congress.
Every researcher receiving a travel stipend will get a waiver of the registration fee and a travel and accommodation allowance of up to US$ 350/700 (US$ 350 for researchers from European countries on the ISI list and US$ 700 for researchers from non-European countries on the ISI list).
Eligibility criteria
In order to be eligible for a travel stipend, a researcher has to be mainly affiliated with an institution in one of the developing countries on the ISI list. Researchers affiliated with multiple institutions are only eligible if all of their institutions meet this criterion. A researcher must have submitted an abstract to the congress, either as individual presentation or as part of a symposium.
Selection criteria
Only researchers whose submitted abstract was positively evaluated by the programme committee will be considered for a travel stipend. The local organising team will select according to the quality of the submitted abstract, geographical and gender balance, as well as financial considerations.
Reporting requirement: The travel stipend has to be acknowledged with all research results directly or indirectly supported by attending the congress, e.g., by including the sentence “Research partially supported by a DLMPST/IUHPST Travel Stipend to attend CLMPST 2019 in Prague, Czech Republic”.
