The General Assembly of the Division of History and Philosophy of Computing (HaPoC) will convene on December 19 2025 in Aachen (co-hosted with the HaPoC conference) and elect its new Council.
The call for candidacies is now open and will close on October 15th 2025.
Any member of HaPoC can be a candidate as far the candidacy is endorsed by two further members. Members can endorse as many candidacies as they wish.
As per Statutes, membership in HaPoC is open to any person with an interest in the history and philosophy of computing. To become a member, interested applicants should either: (1) Participate in any activity of the commission (presentation at a Conference, organization of an event, member of the Program Committee of a Conference, etc.) or: (2) Be presented by another member of the Commission.
